UBS has released a research report highlighting shifts in investor focus on Microsoft (MSFT, Financial) concerning artificial intelligence (AI). Key areas of interest include the upcoming GPU capacity, trends in Azure, partnerships with OpenAI, and the adoption and pricing of M365 Copilot.
Due to new production capabilities expected between March and June of next year, UBS has revised its growth forecast for Microsoft’s Azure from 35.6% to 34% for the fiscal quarter ending March. However, cost control measures are likely to improve profit margins. Consequently, UBS has increased its earnings per share estimate for fiscal 2026 from $14.39 to $15.1.
UBS believes that investor sentiment towards Microsoft has slightly improved, maintaining a “buy” rating and raising the price target from $500 to $525.
