Power Trader advice on moving

Just started two months ago as a junior power trader at a power shop out of undergrad. We only trade virtuals. I’m currently learning the ropes of inc dec trading in PJM and MISO and will touch FTRs in the future.

I’m currently located in Houston and want to be able to move back to the NYC area. I don’t have any certifications (not sure if it’s required for me) and am a bit worried about being stuck here. I am being compensated very well and want to stay here for a few years but not forever (mostly due to family). Any advice on which firms to shoot for in NYC area eventually? Any general advice would be greatly appreciated as well.
