IREN Limited (IREN) has procured an additional 4,200 NVIDIA Blackwell B200 GPUs for approximately $193 million, doubling its total GPU fleet to approximately 8,500 units. It also secured $102 million in financing for a prior purchase of Blackwell B200 and B300 GPUs—according to a company press release.
The $102 million financing is structured as a 36-month lease covering 100% of the purchase price at a high single-digit interest rate, with proceeds earmarked for further Blackwell GPU procurement. Financing discussions are underway to fund the latest acquisition, which was initially covered by existing cash.
The new B200 GPUs will be installed at IREN’s Prince George campus. The company expects to maintain its installed Bitcoin mining capacity at roughly 50 EH/s by utilizing spare data-centre capacity across other sites.
With this purchase, IREN’s AI Cloud will consist of about 800 H100s, 1,100 H200s, 5,400 B200s and 1,200 B300s, giving the Prince George campus 50 MW of power capacity capable of supporting up to 20,000 Blackwell GPUs under a PUE of 1.1 and a 1.93 kW per-GPU power draw.
