US Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches $944 Million

The US Mega Millions lottery is set for a drawing with a jackpot of $944 million, marking the highest prize for the same month in its history. The previous draw did not produce a jackpot winner, although five tickets won $1 million each. If a winner opts for a lump-sum payout, they would receive $429.4 million.

This year has been exceptional for Mega Millions players, with several large jackpots awarded. In March, a New Jersey player won $1.13 billion, followed by an Illinois player who won $552 million online in June. In September, a Houston resident won $800 million from a ticket purchased at a gas station convenience store.
