Cathie Wood — known for her aggressive innovation ETFs — said Ark Invest is internally testing a fund that incorporates short-selling in the major benchmarks.
“We have internally, employees only, we’re testing out a portfolio but its really Ark on steroids,” Wood told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Wednesday.
“We want to test it on ourselves first and make sure that everyone keeps their eye on that 5 year time horizon…and doesn’t pay attention to the day to day,” she added.
Wood’s flagship fund, Ark Innovation ETF, is down nearly 15% in 2021.
