StockXpo’s SkyRocket Strategy

If you’re following us, you might already be aware that in this strategy we try to find the stocks which have a strong fundamental track record and have strong buy or buy ratings from top analyst firms. Moreover, these stocks break through their 8 week high and even 52 week high, so with their strong fundamental track record, there is a good potential for these stocks to go even higher.

For this week, here are our picks $CONN, $SIG and $TLYS

Please note that – compared to last week, we have removed $CAL, $CNR and $RM.

Stock Symbol Company Name Action
CAL Caleres Inc. Sell
CNR Cornerstone Building Brands Inc. Sell
RM Regional Management Corp. Sell
CONN Conn's Inc. Buy
SIG Signet Jewelers Ltd. Buy
TLYS Tilly's Inc. Buy

CONN(Conn’s Inc.)- Conn’s, Inc. is a holding company, which engages in the retail and provision of consumer goods and related services. The firm also offers proprietary credit solutions for its core credit-constrained consumers through retail stores and its website. It operates through the Retail and Credit segments. The Retail segment sells home appliances to the retail market; and owns and operates retail stores that offer furniture, home appliances, consumer electronics, and home office accessories. The Credit segment provides in-house consumer credit programs that offer standardized credit decisions, including down payment, limit amounts, and credit terms. Its stores are located in retail centers, including malls, lifestyle centers, power centers, community centers, outlet centers, and street-front locations. The company was founded by Hezy Shaked and Tilly Levine in 1982 and is headquartered in Irvine, CA. A solid price increase over a period of 12 weeks reflects investors’ continued willingness to pay more for the potential upside in a stock. TLYS is quite a good fit in this regard, gaining 28.7% over this period.

However, it’s not enough to look at the price change for around three months, as it doesn’t reflect any trend reversal that might have happened in a shorter time frame. It’s important for a potential winner to maintain the price trend. A price increase of 38% over the past four weeks ensures that the trend is still in place for the stock of this clothing and accessories retailer.
